Typhoons, floods, earthquakes, extreme heat, and other emergencies interrupt learning in Philippine schools every year — and every suspended class day widens learning gaps. To address this, the Department of Education (DepEd) issued DepEd Order No. 14, s. 2026, the Guidelines on Learning Continuity in Emergencies, signed on June 4, 2026, in time for the opening of School Year 2026–2027. The order gives school heads and schools division superintendents a clearer framework for
